Yuri Gagarin is one of the famous people of Russia
He was born in a village near Smolensk
He spent his childhood in a big family, had a sister and two brothers
Yura was an active, brave and curious boy.
In 1951 finished a vocational school, then a school of aviation and an Airforce Academy in Moscow
He risked his life to achieve a victory for his country and mankind.
12.04.1961 made a space flight on board the spaceship “ Vostok”
It was a brilliant achievement on the part of our scientists and technologists
With a flight time of about 1 hour and 48 min,Gagarin landed safely in Siberia.
He was the first man on Earth to fly into space
Years later,in 1968 he was tragically killed in a test plane crash.People always remember the first Russian cosmonaut.
