VLADIMIR PUTIN Vladimir Putin is an outstanding Russian politician. He was the President of Russia for 8 years.
Vladimir Putin He was born on the 7th of October 1952 in Leningrad.
He graduated from the Internatio-nal Department of the Law Faculty of the Leningrad State University in 1975
He was recruted into theKGB and worked there till 1985
From 1985 to 1990the KGB stationed PutinIn Dresden. Following the collapse of the East German regi- me,he was recalled to the USSR.
He returned to Leningrad and workedat the Leningrad StateUniversity.In 1994he became First Deputy Chairman of the city of Saint Petersburg.
Putin was appointed Chairman of the Government of the Russian Federation byPresident Boris Yeltsinin August 1999.
His law-and-order image soon raised his popularity. He was elected President of Russia in March,2000.
Putin has many hobbies: He is keen on judo and mountain skiing. His dog is famous all over the word.
Putin is one of the mostpopular politician in theworld.
I think he is a very fascinaiting person.
He is the man who works hard and reformes the system of the country.
He supports sports,arts,science and literature in the country.
Putin is popular among the young people.
People respect him because he he helps and supports them.
I think he serves his country best and createsa new image of a politician.
In 2008 he became a leader of the main political party of Russia. And was named the Man of the Year.
