Moscow Kremlin This historic fortified complex is situated at the heart of Moscow and overlooks the Moskva River and Red Square. It is the best known kremlin of Russia. At the moment, the complex of Kremlin serves as the official residence of the President of the Russian Federation. The name Kremlin means "fortress", and is often used as a synecdoche to refer to the government of the Russian Federation in a similar sense to how the White House is used to refer to the Executive Office of the President of the United States.
Saint Basil's Cathedral The Cathedral of Vasily the Blessed is a former church in Red Square in Moscow. The building, now a museum. It was built from 1555–61 on orders from Ivan the Terrible and commemorates the capture of Kazan and Astrakhan. It has been the hub of the city's growth since the 14th century and was the city's tallest building until the completion of the Ivan the Great Bell Tower in 1600. The building is shaped as a flame of a bonfire rising into the sky, a design that has no analogues in Russian architecture.
State Tretyakov Gallery The State Tretyakov Gallery — is an art gallery in Moscow, Russia, the foremost depository of Russian fine art in the world. The gallery's history starts in 1856 when the Moscow merchant Pavel Mikhailovich Tretyakov acquired works by Russian artists of his day with the aim of creating a collection, which might later grow into a museum of national art. In 1892, Tretyakov presented his already famous collection of approximately 2,000 works to the Russian nation.
Lomonosov Moscow State University Lomonosov Moscow State University is one of the oldest and largest universities in Russia. Founded in 1755, the university was renamed in honor of it s founder, Mikhail Lomonosov, in 1940. It also claims to have the tallest educational building in the world.
Bolshoi Theatre The Bolshoi Theatre is a historic theatre in Moscow, designed by architect Joseph Bove, which holds performances of ballet and opera. The Bolshoi Ballet and Bolshoi Opera are amongst the oldest and most renowned ballet and opera companies in the world. It is by far the world's biggest ballet company, having more than 200 dancers
