My family Let me introduce myself. My full name is Darya Alexandrovna Korolyova. I was born on the 23rd of June in Uzhur.

I am a pupil of the tenth form of a secondary school. My favourite subject of school is Biology. My teacher of Biology is a well-educated woman with broad outlook deep knowledge of the subject. Her name Galina Nikolaevna.

I’d like to tell you about my family. My family consists of 4 members: my father, my mother, and my sister and me.

My father’s name is Alexander Vasilyevich. He is 43 years old. He is an engineer. My father is calm and thoughtful. His hobby is wood carving (fretnork). He likes to breed rabbits.

My mother is 38 years old. Her name is Yelena Michailovna. She is a teacher. She loves children very much. She likes her job. My mother is a emotional, sociable and cheerful person. She is fond of flowers.

I have a sister. Her name is Sonya. She is 8 years old. She is in the second form. Sonya is a good pupil. She likes painting and singing. My sister is cheerful.I am happy to have a sister.

We are good friends and sometimes spend our free time together. I have two grandfather and a great-grandmother.

My grandmother is 68 years old. Her name is Nina Petrovna. It’s my father’s mother. She is a pensioner. She was a dairymaid. She is a calm, kind person. My granny likes to cook apple pies and pan-cakes. Her hobby is knitting.

My another grandmother is 71 years old. Her name is. Lybov’ Grigoryevna. It’s my mother’s mother. She is a pensioner too. She was a book-keeper. She is kind, cheerful. I like her cake and pies.

I have a great-grandmother. She is very old. She is 90 years old. Her name is Natalya Nikiforovna. It’s my father’s grandmother. She lives in Uzhur too. My great-grandmother is cheerful and sociable. She likes sewing.

Our family is friendly. In summer we visit lakes together. We go fishing, swim and sunbathe, play volleyball. In Krasnoyarsk we go to visit our relatives. We sometimes go to Omsk. We have a house. It’s cosy. There are four rooms in it .There are many flowers in it. We have many books in our family library.I enjoy playing lotto, chess with my father, mother and sister.

Our family is big and friendly. We all like gathering together on holidays. Our favourite holidays are New Year, Сhristmas, Easter.

In my opinion happy family means love, caring, childcare, comfort, trust and mutual respect.I love my parents and grandparents and they love me. We are a happy family.
