Orville WrightWilbur Wright

They invented, built and flew the first airplane on December 17, 1903.

You can see the Wright Flyer at the National Air and Space Museum.

Henry Ford1863 - 1947

Henry Ford was the founder of the Ford Motor Company and father of modern assembly lines.

In 1903 he introduced the Model T Ford.

On an assembly line each person has one specific job and, therefore, can do it more efficiently.

Alexander Graham Bell1847 - 1922

Alexander Graham Bell was born in Scotland.

He invented the first telephone in 1876.

Alexander Graham Bell became a citizen of the USA in 1882.
