The American system of school education differs from the systems in other countries. There are state public schools, private elementary school and private secondary schools. In the American education system are: preschool children 3-5 years old; primary school (grade 1-5), 6-11 years old; High School (grades 6-8) 11-13 years old; High School (grades 9-12), 14-17 years old
