How one behaves online. Be polite Do not send messages which may hurt a person’s feelings Use proper language Avoid using inappropriate and offensive language.
Remember that nothing you write on the Internet is private. Anything written on the ‘Net’ can be read by anyone online . Avoid sending the same message to the same people over and over again. This is called being a pest.
Never respond to rude or offensive messages. Just log off. Avoid using ALL CAPS. It’s considered shouting online.
Don’t flirt or post anything private… You may think you’re talking with this… When you’re really talking with this…
Never send or receive pictures online to or from persons you meet online. If you find a website with ‘bad’ stuff, just click the back button and go somewhere else.
Respect intellectual property rights.
Always delete unknown email attachments before opening them. Never give out personal information
Do not send e-mail late at night because it may call your lifestyle into question.
If all this is too much to remember,go by the golden rule. Treat others like you want to be treated
