Cardiff

Cardiff is the largest city and a capital of Wales.The city is a tourism centre and the most popular visitor destination in Wales .Cardiff has been developed with a new waterfront area at Cardiff Bay which contains the Senedd building, home to the Welsh Assembly and the Wales Millennium Centre arts complex. In the city center there are International Sports Village, a BBC drama village, and a new business district.

Cardiff has many landmark buildings.It is famous for Cardiff Castle, St David's Hall, Llandaff Cathedral and the Wales Millennium Centre.Cardiff Castle is a major tourist attraction in the city and is situated in the heart of the city centre. The National History Museum at St Fagans is a large open air museum consisting of buildings from throughout Welsh history that have been moved to Cardiff.

A number of performing arts are located within the city—the largest and most prominent of these is the Wales Millenium Centre, which hosts performances of opera, ballet, dance, comedy and musicals, and is home to the BBC National Orchestra of Wales.

Cardiff has walks of special interest for tourists, such as the Centenary Walk, which runs for 2.3 miles (3.7 km) within Cardiff city center. This route passes through many landmarks and historic buildings.Cardiff pedal taxis («velotaxis») take visitors around the city centre free of charge. Pick-up points include Cardiff Central Station and the National Museum Cardiff.

Cardiff is also famous for filming there the most wonderful episodes of Doctor Who Series and Torchwood! It attracts many fans of these TV shows. There are even special roots for them.
